Today we heard the sad news of Hannah’s death. I will always remember her as the baby of the family. The early photos of the Stillerman’s showed Hannah standing there with her very very long legs. She was so young then. Then there was the fairy- tale romance with the fancy Italian, Salo and off she went to Milan . We all knew to call her whenever we were in the region of Italy .. Then came Vanessa and Mark who filled their lives with such richness and many grandchildren.

We have heard the stories of Hannah being so busy looking after the twins, living in France and then Israel . Hannah had much to say and guided us by her sharp critique. I burned my hand once touching the stove in Kensington. While I looked on in dismay at my blistered hand, she made no bones about it that I was an idiot. She wrote me a letter once when I was in medical school and struggling. She insisted that I stay the course and she was right again.

So we will deeply miss our Auntie. We are most thankful her life was part of us and that Vannessa and Mark will be there to keep the family flame shining brightly.
